5 Make-Up Product

5 Make-Up Products Absolutely Necessary - Build Your Beauty Basics

Just starting your make-up journey, or looking to streamline your look? You don’t need a broad collection of products to do your make-up. A few solid products that do their job correctly is all you require. These five makeup essentials are beginner-friendly, versatile and perfect for commuters or those looking to build an easy, daily glam look.

Why stick with the bare minimum?

Too many products = confusion and clutter. Less products means you can think less about when and how to put it on, and save time, money, and mental energy (especially for students; we know it’s stressful). The products we recommend you will leave you looking fresh and polished in about 5 minutes (that’s counting thought time), without the frantic meltdown.

The 5 MUST-HAVES (with local options)

  1. Light base product (BB cream or foundation)

Your base product helps you set the tone. Pick something very lightweight, that gives you some coverage without making you feel like you’re wearing a mask.

Recommended local options:

- Miss Rose Silk Foundation – smooth finish, great for skin and not as heavy as a foundation.

- Sweet Touch BB Cream – very light coverage; easy to wear every day.

Example: picture of someone showing foundation and BB cream swatches on different skin tones.

2.              Concealer (for coverage on specific areas)

Less is more – concealer is a magical product that can reduce the appearance of under eye darkness, redness, or dark spots.

Recommended local options:

Christine Stick Concealer – great for coverage; beginner and wallet-friendly

Rivaj liquid concealer – great and easy to blend

Example: picture of half of face before after with just concealer (before on the left, after on the right).

3.              Blush (to look flush)

Blush is where the magic happens; you instantly go from tired to fresh. Cream or liquid blush is a little easier than powder blush, and you can apply it with your fingers.

Recommended local options:

MissRose Lip & Cheek Tint – dual product, very easy to use, and not what you may think!

J. Lipstick (come on, us girls know the lipstick to cheek hack!)

Example: a picture of applying cream blush on the cheeks with a finger.

4.              Mascara For Instant Definition

Even without eyeshadow, applying mascara can instantly lift the eyes and give them definition.

Pakistani Picks:

Essence Lash Mascara

Lash Princess False Lash Effect Mascara - Budget version

Visual Suggestion: Close up image of eyes pre-mascara use then post-mascara use.

5.              Lipstick or Tinted Balm

Complete the look with a soft lip. Nudes, pinks, or peachy tones are all great options for everyday.

Saeed Ghani Tinted Lip Balm - Moisture and color all in one

Visual Suggestion: Simple close up of lip color with product next to it.

Final Thoughts

These five products are sufficient to create a beautiful, glowing and natural look for everyday wear at university, work or casual hangouts. They are also easy to apply, affordable and can all be purchased in Pakistan and through online shopping.

You can start small, build confidence, and only upgrade when you feel ready to do so.
